Conference FAQ

2023 SSHD Conference Frequently Asked Questions

  • Q: Where/when is the conference happening?
  • A: October 13-15, 2023 at the Sonesta Rittenhouse Square, Philadelphia PA

  • Q: When am I scheduled to present my symposium?
  • A: The 2023 Program provides the daily schedules. Please check the link to find out which day you are scheduled to present.

  • Q: When am I scheduled to present my poster?
  • A: There are two poster sessions: Friday, October 13th, 5:15-6:45pm and Saturday, October 14th, 4:15pm-5:45pm. The 2023 Program lists each poster and the times at which they are scheduled. Please check the link to find out which day you are scheduled to present.

  • Q: What are the poster dimensions?
  • A: The easels on which your poster will be attached are 8’ wide and 4’ high and each easel will contain TWO posters. Therefore, you can prepare either a landscape poster, or a portrait poster, but the width cannot exceed 48” (half of the board width) and the height can be no more than 48”. Please check common printing sizes before preparing your poster. For example, a common landscape size that would fit on our boards is 48” wide and 36” tall. We do recommend some white space to accommodate the spacing for two posters on an easel. We also recommend that you not use every inch of space, and that you avoid large amounts of text. You may wish to include a QR Code on your poster to lead visitors to additional details.
